Hello, members of the Board! My name is Rana and I’m a recent UVa graduate. I just wanted to thank you all for supporting this proclamation and celebration of Arab American heritage. I was born and raised in Charlottesville –– grew up attending Albemarle County Public Schools –– and this is really the first time I’ve felt recognized and represented by the county as an Arab American. Thank you again for this recognition!
